It's an open-source engine for games with grid-like worlds. There are many, many contributors and its development Discord is quite active. I have already started to talk with some developers about the internal structure of the project. Present every year at Google Summer Code, there are many tasks available from small bugfixing to large difficult overhauls of rendering.
